[From among Jungfer’s truly artistic artefacts, the Prince of Wales, too, made significant purchases, namely a hanging lamp (300 forints), two candleholders with the beautiful ironwork that drew attention at the Exhibition for 60 forints and two hand-held lamps for 14 forints each. But friends of Hungarian industry may even be prouder at the order for an iron gate placed with Jungfer by the heir to the British throne. In 1900, the emperor- king visited Jungfer’s factory in Berzsenyi utca. A memento of the visit is the memorial plaque which is still on the building today. A number of equestrian statues of Francis Joseph from the firm’s bronze section are to be found in private hands. 67 See Pereházy 1979, p. 306.
