Cigarette box Jakab Rapoport, Budapest, 1900-1902 Enamelled copper Height: 6.3 cm; Diameter of base: 7 cm Cylindrically shaped, narrowing a little towards the top. Its crinkled, irregularly grooved surface is covered with blue-andpurple so-called cloudy enamel. In places the ornamentation of the surface is damaged or missing. A matching green-and-yellow cigarette box of almost identical size (Inv. No. 85.42) passed to the Museum from a private collection more than a decade ago. In all likelihood both objects featured at the 1902 Turin International Applied Arts Exhibition, as parts of a smoking set for a table. Jobbra, lent hímzett felirat: „Temesvár 1989, Bukarest, 1989, 90, 91, Arad-Marosvásárehly 89-90, Nagyszeben, Brassó 87-89, Sepsiszentgyörgy".
