A gilt brocaded paper over an orange base. There are animals-a dog, a boar, a deer, a bear, birds among tendrils and ribbon plaits. There h a riding hunter on the left and right, with a figure blo­wing a horn above them. In the middle, a riding hunter chases a boar. The right upper field shows a hunter shooting at a bird, whereas the left upper side is decorated with a figure holding a spear, struggling with a bear. Marked: IN. AVGSP. BEY. IOHANN. CARL. MUNCK. NO 7 (Inv.No. 59.1395, Pict.9). 29. Brocaded paper, gilt over the red base. It was used for the lining of a two-do­ored wardrobe, which was made in die middle of the eighteenth century in Hungary or Austria (Inv.No. 70.276). 17 Two series of the same colour but with different patterns were used for the li­ning. Marked: AUGSPURG BEY JO­HANN CARL MUNCK N°23, and NO IN AVGB BEY JOHN CARL MUNCK. 30. The inside of cabinets were also fre­quentiy lined with brocaded paper, like in the case of this Austrian cabinet from the middle of the 18th century (Inv.No. 16994). 18 The middle compart­ment and its door are lined with dark blue paper, stamped widi gilt arabes­ques. Marked: CUM PRIV SACR CAES MAIEST SIMON (Inv.No. 59.1422). 32. Brocaded paper. A gilt background aga­inst an orange base, enriched with clus­ters of grapes and leaves. Marked: AUG.BEY.SIMON..., above the signa­ture of a previous publisher. (Inv.No. 59.1353). 33. Bronze varnished paper. Gilt tendrils, baskets of flowers, ribbon plaits over a green base. Marked: NZ SIMON, a successive stamping (Inv.No. 59.1429, Pict.10). 34. Brocaded paper. Gilt chess motifs over a green base. Marked: CU.., P.. MA­IE...SIMON (Inv.No. 59.1331). 35. Brocaded paper. A gilt background aga­inst a light blue base, with large tend­rils, exotic flowers, pines and pomeg­ranates. Marked: A.S. Though there is a piece with an identical signature, the paper might also be attributed to And­reas STEBER (active 1720-1750), a goldsmith from Nördlingen.
