Decorated with Chinese-like motifs charac­teristic of the Namban style: two conven­tionalized dragons with flaming sacred jewel. Reverse: symbols of treasures. Acquired through exchange with Toshikatsu Furuta. Inv.no.: 90.6.1. 15. Tsuba Iron. Japan, 17th century. Diam. 7.8 cm. Circular form with rough surface; one ryo­hitsu. Both sides are decorated with simple styl­ized engraved leaf designs. Probably the work of a swordsmith. Acquired through exchange with Toshikatsu
