41. Flag ribbon Austrian, 1860 This is made of repp embroidered in relief with threads of silver, gold, silk and chenille, and is decorated with glitter. 240 x 13 cm On the outer side of the ribbon run entwined silver laurel branches, on one end above the marriage coat of arms of Count Alfred Antal Königsegg von Aulendorf, imperial and royal colonel, and Countess Paula Bellegarde. On the other end of the ribbon war decorations are to be found. On the inside of the ribbon one can see an inscription in silver letters: MIT GOTT ZUM SIEGE PAULA GRÄFIN KÖNIGSEGG AULENDORF. On one end the figure of St John of Nepomuk can be seen : its pedestal bears the inscription S. IOHANN. NEPOM., while at the other one finds 1860 in silver numerals within a golden cartouche. Wall picture, "Formation, 72" By Margit Szilvitzky, 1972 Mixed technique, 207 x 146 cm Composed in rectangular form, this work is divided vertically into three parts. On its two edges are strips made of corks tied with hemp-thread of natural colour. The middle is a piece of blue linen mounted on cotton wool in relief. The surface is decorated with tied corks densely spread across it. Transferred from the Ministry of Education. Inv. No. 88.405.1 43. Wall picture. "Blue Relief' By Margit Szilvitzky Mixed technique, 150 x 210 x 60 cm Shaped like a rectangle standing vertically, its middle points outwards in the shape of a cone. The surface is covered with linen in its natural colour embellished densely with tied corks. Transferred from the Ministry of Education. Inv. No. 88.404.1 44. Prayer rug Panderma, 19th century, from cotton Knotted, 180 x 130 cm On a beige background is placed a pattern with black outline in red, green, brown and blue. In the middle field is a prayer niche with a djami and garden representation. On its two sides above are a bird and a snake, beneath them wild animals resting. In its bordure there are classicist buildings with trees wreathed with an inscription written in golden characters. Purchased from the estate of Mária Sulyok. Inv. No. 88.415.1 45. Rug Caucasus, 19th century Knotted from wool, 570 x 111 cm Made with gördes knots in black, greenish blue, violet-red, beige and white. Across the length of the middle field there are three large-size rhombi with serrated edges ; a palmette is visible between each pair of them. The surface is spread with tiny stylized flowers and decoration of geometric pattern. In the border are rows of hearts and rosettes connected with tendrils. Purchased from the estate of Mária Sulyok. Inv. No. 88.416.1 46. Prayer rug Anatolia, 17th century Knotted from wool, 194 x 150 cm White carnations hang from the top of the mihrab to the sandy prayer niche. In the border are two types of Herati pattern. In the inner band of the border a star motif on a blue background is visible; in the outer one the same on a black background.
