Forgács Éva (szerk.): Ars Decorativa 9. (Budapest, 1989)

Eseménynaptár 1984—1986

Art of the Hungarian Art Nouveau — in Faenza from 8 July 1985 through 29 September within the frames of the 43. International Ceramic Contest. Our collection was completed with pieces from the Janus Pannonius Museum at Pécs and from private collectors. The exhibition was arranged and mounted by Éva Csenkey. Hungarian embroideries from the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts were exhibited in Kopenhagen, Danemark under the title Silk and Gold. After Altenburg (GDR) and Sofia (Bulgaria) this show — that was also mounted in Koldinghzs, Danemark — was the first one to represent a large part of our musum's embroidery collection in Western Europe. The exhibition conception and arrangement was the work of Emőke László. Erlesenes Tafelgerat, Textil- und Möbelgestaltung des 17—20 Jahrhunderts was the title of our exhibition at the Grassi Museum in Leipzig, GDR, from 17 January —6 April 1986. Arranged and organized by Márta Péter, this show displayed objects related to eating habits and rites from the 16th ct. up to the present days. From 16 April to 6 July 1986 Éva Csenkey arranged an exhibition in Vienna in the österreiches Museum für Angewandte Kunst under the title Zsolnay — Hungarian Art Nouveau Ceramics. Objects from the Janus Pannonius Museum at Pécs, the Budapest Historical Museum and some belonging to private collectors made also part of the show. Ferenc Batári mounted the exhibition of the Ottoman — Turkish rugs in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts that opened in Prague, in the National Gallery on 22 May 1986.
