40b sprays in gold hiramakie in polished brown ground, with kirigane, aogai inlay at some places. The berries are inlaid in coral and pearl. 7.5X4 cm. Mid or late 19th century. This inrô may serve but as an example of late inrô made more as a fancy object than for actual use. The decoration is mannered and the inlays are bulging. 127
