The series of Nádudvar-Töröklaponyag, Szatymaz-Vasútállomás, Csongrád-Felgyő, Pusztapáka show the greatest similarity to our female groups. The female series of Csatalja, Baja-Pető, Székesfehérvár-Bikasziget are also close it. The female series of Zalavár-Kápolna is relatively similar to the Esztergom one. The male group of Esztergom is the closest to the male series of Adony-Éleshegy on the basis of the correlations of cranial- and orbital height; and nasal- and facial breadth. It is relatively close to the male groups of Nagykőrös, Békés- Povádzug, SzatymazVasútállomás, Székesfehérvár-Szárazrét, Mosonmagyaróvár. The female series of Téglás-Angolkert and Nádudvar-Töröklaponyag are relatively similar to our female group. The others show rather far than close similarity to the female series of Esztergom. RESULTS OF THE COMPARISON OF PFC AND FACIAL FLATNESS INDEX The cemeteries of Kardoskút-Fehértó, Téglás-Angolkert, Jászdózsa-Kápolnahalom, Adony-Éleshegy, Csongrád-Felgyő, Csepel-Királydomb, Nagytálya and Százhalombatta-Dunafüred are similar to the cemetery of Esztergom in respect of the praeauricular faciocerebral index (Debetz 1964), which makes it possible to analysis six characters (Martin 5, 9, 17, 40, 45, 48) together (Table 15). We represented the correlation of PFC and facial flatness index also graphically (Figures 27, Table 18). It was possible to compare the material of Esztergom only with a small number of series of the Arpadian age, because the index of facial flatness is determined only on a few of them. It turned out from the comparison that our cemetery seems to be similar to the materials of Orosháza-Rákóczitelep, the Conquering Hungarians and Helemba-Sziget. If the value of craniological information increases by including the correlation degree of the morphological characters it is indisputable that according to the topographical and the distance analyses, the male series of Esztergom of the Arpadian age shows the greatest similarity to the male groups of Helemba-Sziget, Székesfehérvár-Szárazrét and AdonyÉleshegy. The female series of Esztergom resembles the most the female groups of Nádudvar- Töröklaponyag, Székesfehérvár-Bikasziget and Téglás-Angolkert. At the same time, we must not leave out of consideration the similarity of the Esztergom population fragment (both males and females) to the material of the Conquering Hungarians. Though the series is relatively small, possible genetic relations between our series and the series mentioned above cannot be denied. The relation can be especially presumed in the case of the male series, in view of the geographical proximity.
