mean value of the cranial index, because while the males are dolichocranial , the females show mesocrany; concerning the proportion of the index groups, it could be established that brachycrany is also considerable in the females, in contrast to the males. Furthermore ,the females are acrocranial in the majority, whereas in the males metriocrany and acrocrany occur in equal proportions. The forehead is in both sexes mainly eurymetopic, with metriometopy also considerable in the females. In these latter mesoprosopy relatively predominates, while euryprosopy and mesoprosopy show equal proportions in the males. The upper face of the males is preponderantly euryen, that of the females mesen. The females are mesorrhinian, the males chamaerrhinian . Nor was a uniform picture found with respect to stature:a great medium stature was calculated for the males, and a medium one for the females. In the case of the males, the frequency was higher towards the higher values. The differentiation between the sexes was also observed in the morphoscopic characters,e.g . in the state of expressedness of the glabella, the arcus superciliaris, the protuberantia occipitalis externa, the processus mastoideus and the alveolar prognathism. The auther discusses in detail the several craniomorphological anomalies (Table XIX) and establishes that they do not reach, concerning occurrence ratios, the 15 % and 30 % frequency maxima, except for the ossa wormiana (AUG 1ER, 1931; COMAS, I960; ROGINCKIY, 1955), further that the per cent ratio of anomalies observed on the female skulls is slightly greater than that of the males. The taxonomic analysis of the partial population was made by the application of character combination, resulting in the following taxonomic groups: I. A dolicho-mesocranial,euryprosopic, angular-faced, projectingnosed, great medium - high stature group, with features characterizing Cromagnoid-A, Protoeuropoid elements (29%);
