Comparative investigations on the basis of Penrose's statistical method were made on approximately contemporary male series of 14 cemeteries situated geographically nearest to the one under discussion, since only the male remains of the Mosonmagyaróvár cemetery rendered a relatively acceptable number of data. Accordingly, the reliability of the comparative study is less than comprehensive with regard to the Mosonmagyaróvár cemetery. The study was made on the basis of the possibly most characteristic absolute cranial measurements, and the values obtained are given, in the sequence of the rate of similarity, in Table 8. With respect to the investigated groups, the similarity is the greatest with the population of the Oroszvár cemetery of the X-XI. centuries, hence corresponding also to period, and nearest also geographically (at a distance of 20 km). Similarities and differences concerning the 14 cemeteries were analysed and collated with the results of the published type diagnoses and morphological descriptions. The sequence established by the Penrose method was not essentially contradictory to any of these, excepting one case (Székesfehérvár-Bikasziget). Por a clarification of the ethnicum, historical, archeological , and linguistic data were al so used. On the basis of moments referring to a similarity with the Oroszvár cemetery, it can be assumed also in this connection that the ethnicum of the cemetery comprised elements of the indigeneous Pannonian and of Slavic populations.
