Absolute measurements were taken according to Martin (1928),and the evaluation of the measurements and indices based on the ca­tegories elaborated by Alexeyev-Debet s (1964). Stature was de­termined by Wolanski's nomogram (1953)» but, for comparison ,the body height data were established also by the methods of Brei­tinger (1937) and Bach (1965). No mean or standard deviation values were calculât ed,since the­se would have no significance in this case of s mall Individual numbers. The study of the morphoscopic characteristics was made accor­ding to Martin, but Hrdlicka's method was used with respect to the dentition} the method was discussed in detail, concerning the literature referring to Avar Period findings, first by De­zső (1968), Lipták' s (1962) method was applied in the taxonomic analysis.
