2 REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA THE RIGHT REVEREND BISHOP ÁRPÁD L. BERETZ 7520 Woodmar Avenue Hammond, Ind. 46323 yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig The Editorial Board of the Reformátusok Lapja I wishes all our readers a very Blessed Christmas and New Year. rillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllilii;. <<]iiiiiiiiiiii[]iiiiiiiiiiii[]iiiiiiiiiiii[]iiiiiiiiiiiiniiiiiiiiiiiiDiiiiiiiiini[]iiiiiiiiiiiiuiiiiiiiiiiii[]iiiiiiiiiiiiniiiiiiiiiiii[]iiiiiiiiiiii[]iiiiiiiiiiii[]iiiiiii.:. I Dear Brethren in our Lord Jesus Christ, Mankind is in a revolutionary ferment. Old patterns of life | I are rapidly disintegrating; old traditions are no longer held in | I high esteem; old habits and customs no longer mean as much | I as in former times. The old faith is subjected to question and 1 I doubt. I A violent storm rages on the Sea of Humanity. Only on the 1 I Moon can we speak of the Sea of Tranquility. | Revolution, ferment, change, war and rebellion seems to be § 1 our fate. | We cry out for peace, we cry out for answers, we cry out | for solutions! | The Revolution feeds on itself. It keeps churning the restless 1 waters until action and re-action stirs mankind into a wild, | unabating frenzy. How we long for peace! | Increasingly, it is clear that our world will not give us peace. I It cannot. g Fortunately, the Christmas Angels cannot be silenced and | their voices ring loud and clear over the din of man’s chaotic 1 life and death struggle: | “Glory to God in highest heaven, And on earth his peace for men on whom his favour rests.” B Luke 2: 14 hierein lies our hope and salvation. God has come in the flesh to be man and to give man His peace. Together with the Synodical Council, I extend to each pastor and congregation my best wishes for a Blessed Christmastide and a New Year of love and peace. Arpad L.
