REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA 15 President’s Page Rev. Dr. John Bütösi THE FALL RETREAT of our pastors, including our Presbyterian brethren, will be held on October 20, 21 and 22, 1969 in the Holiday Inn of Ligonier, Pa. Due to the nature of our theme, “A Critical Analysis of Our Churches” — all pastors are urged to attend it. We intend to examine WHAT is happening among us (try to gather data on vital statistics, attendance, trends in the last 10 years, etc.); then we shall attempt to probe the question as to WHY these things are happening in our churches (in addition to prayer read a few reliable books on the subject); finally we shall address ourselves to the problem of HOW can we fulfill our task in this given situation. The retreat will start at 6 P.M. in the Holiday Inn on Oct. 20 (Monday) and conclude on Oct. 22 (Wednesday) noon. The special rate at the Inn will be $10.00 for one person in a single and $16 for two people in a twin room. Please make your reservation at the Inn in advance, indicating that you are attending “Calvin Synod Retreat.” The Conference Council agreed to pay three cents per mile for the driver or for the person who would fly, therefore CONSISTORIES ARE URGED TO PAY THE BALANCE OF EXPENSES to their pastors. The Inn’s address is as follows: Holiday Inn of Ligonier, Loyalhanna St., Ligonier, Pa. 15658. THE CONFERENCE COUNCIL will meet on Oct. 20, 1969 at 2 P.M. in the Holiday Inn of Ligonier, Pa.
