VOLUME — XIX. — ÉVFOLYAM, ****************************** Mr. Alex Konta President of the Hungarian Loyalty League. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ****************************** It affords us great pleasure to present in this issue of the Hungarian Protestant Churchpaper the picture of Mr. Alex. Konta, who is one of the most prominent Hungarian men in this Country, a leader of his countrymen both in political and in social life. There are few men among the Hungarians in A- merica, — who enjoy so prefectly the confidence and love of their Countrymen, — as does Mr. Konta. The secret of this lies in the integrity of Mr. Kontas character and in the purity of all his intentions. He is a typical Hungarian-American gentleman. By birth a Hungarian, — by spirit and actions a loyal, true American. He deserves the love and confidence of both the Hungarians, and the Americans. He is a friend to every good cause, — be it the cause of individuals or nations. Mr. Konta enjoys also the confidence of the American Government. He is the President of the Hungarian American Loyalty League, — a patriotic organization, called into existence by and functionating under the auspices of the Bureau of Public Information, Washington, D. C. How successfull Mr. Konta was in organizing the Hungarians in this League, — is evident in the fact, that the League has already a membership of over twenty thousand, — and we hope its membership will reach the hundred thousand mark in a short time. — A visszavonulásnak meg indokolható avagy menthetetlen tüneménye kétségkívül egyik oka annak, The editors and subscribers of the Hungarian Reformed Church paper identify themselves in spirit, attitude and actions with the Government of the United States in the great struggle for liberty and freedom for the world.
